Music And Dance

Co-Creation 2012 asked that we awaken spiritually so we can allow our unique gifts to emerge. Through singing, listening to music of all kinds, and watching dance, we experienced sacred moments and were open to the Spirit's call to evolve.

If music is love in search of a word then love found an abundant, diverse vocabulary at Co-Creation 2012. Constructing a "sound gallery", Co-Creation 2012 featured an aural array including Taize simplicity and choral complexities singing Mozart; a troubadour who wove together keynotes and crowd participation; string melodies meanderied the Labyrinth; progressive folk songs punctuated letter-writing activism; the sinewy energy of a 12-piece indie band; and keyboard/vocal stylings intertwined with the poetry of Rumi.

The Collection

“The banjo-keys-glock-strings-brass-woodwinds-timpani-boy/girl-vocals-etc. of David Wimbish’s Greensboro collective may at first recall the figurine-songs of Sufjan Stevens – but only until one of the 12-member band’s delirious crescendos erupts. Wimbish employs as many as 20 instruments per track, yet the arrangements are judicious when they need to be.” - Shuffle Magazine
