Art Music Life

Co-Creation 2012 asks that we awaken spiritually so we can allow our unique gifts to emerge and apply this creative energy to the world. As Diana Butler-Bass puts it: “This awakening demands we act upon this new vision. Wake up, discern, imagine and do.”

Art-making is one way we can express the lively intersection between inspiration and creation. The Greensboro community has exceptional visual artists who, by loaning their work for the art exhibition, add an exciting layer of meaning to the conference content and experience.

The works of art featured in this year’s Sacred Space for the City were chosen because of the unique way they each speak to the theme “The Spirit’s Call to Evolve.” Two and three-dimensional artworks including ceramics, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, textile art, photography and prints will be on display for conference attendees and the general public from Thursday April 12th until Sunday, April 15th.

The multiple-site art walk has locations at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church as well as at The Temple Emanuel on Greene Street and other locations on the Fisher Park campus.
